All teachers must be evaluated by QECO to be considered for a placement on the pay grid beyond Category 1 (the lowest category) by their school board.
A Statement of Evaluation is needed to determine the pay rate for teachers by placing them in one of four possible groups. For pay grids, please see the OSSTF Limestone District 27 Teachers' Collective Agreement, Article 47 - Salary Grids and Allowances.
The process for obtaining a Statement of Evaluation is explained on the QECO website. QECO encourages teachers who have not yet reached the highest pay category, Category A4, to formally apply for re-evaluation on a regular basis, at least once each year, to ensure they are following the most direct route to a higher category.
