The mission of the Educational Services Committee is to foster and promote the professional growth of OSSTF members in order to enhance the quality of education and teaching expertise by providing support, direction, and professional development opportunities.
The PD Funding Application and Guidelines are found below.

* All PD Funding Applications with be reviewed and processed at the meeting in June.
Cheques will be issued shortly after and sent via Board mail or post mail.
The local Educational Services Committee assists members in their professional development by helping to fund PD opportunities which are not paid for by the Board.
To find out what activities are eligible for funding, please read the "Eligibility Guidelines for Funding".
If you would like to apply for funding, please complete the "Application for Self-Directed PD Funding" and use the
"Checklist to Apply" to guide you through the process of completing and submitting your application.
The deadline for applications for 2024-2025 is May 30, 2025.
OSSTF provides financial assistance to members who are pursuing further education through a variety of grants.
Further information can be found on the OSSTF website or in the downloadable file below.
The deadline to apply for a grant is April 1 of each year.
In addition, bursaries are available by lottery for members with a child or ward who has applied to enter a publicly-funded post-secondary college, university or apprenticeship program. An application form is available on the OSSTF website.
The deadline to apply for a family bursary is April 15 each year.
The OTIP Bursary Program provides financial support to students attending college, university, or skilled trades/technology programs on a full-time or part-time basis. Our recipients will receive a bursary of $1,500 to help offset the costs of their education.
The deadline to apply for a bursary is June 1, 2025 for the 2025-26 school year.
