Award Recipients for AGM 2024
Award of Merit - Simon Baron
This award is our highest form of recognition. It is for a member of the District who has rendered meritorious and outstanding service to the OSSTF at the provincial district/bargaining unit level, or at both the district/bargaining unit and provincial levels.
Bill Moore Award - Kyla Munro
This award is for a member of the District who has contributed a great deal to OSSTF.
Fearless Award - Julie Burrows
This award is for a member of the District who has displayed a fearless attitude with respect to standing up for themselves, their colleagues or the Collective Agreement.
Community Builder Award - Ian Montgomery & Andrew Kirby
This award is for a member of the District who has made outstanding contributions to their community outside of the immediate school community.
TBU Wib Mayor Award - Brian Moelker
This award is for a Teacher who has served on an OSSTF Limestone District 27 committee and/or Provincial OSSTF committee for more than one school year. They must have distinguished themselves in their subject field and have contributed to the professional development of teachers in their subject field or related areas through committee participation or a leadership role within their school.
District + TBU AGM 2024
The AGM for the District and the Teachers' Bargaining Unit will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2024 at the Royal Kingston Curling Club, 130 Days Road.
The District AGM will begin at 4:30 pm . The Teachers' Bargaining Unit AGM will follow immediately after. Drinks and finger foods will be provided.
It is at the AGM that our annual Budget is set and changes can be made to our Constitution and Bylaws. Also, there are District and TBU Awards given at the AGM. Please scroll down to see the award descriptions and nomination forms.
Elections for many Executive positions take place every two years (odd numbered years). This is NOT an election year.
Meeting materials will be posted on this webpage below as they become ready. Some materials will be also be emailed to Members according to the deadlines laid out in the Constitution (Bylaw 8).
Constitution + Bylaws
The Constitution and Bylaws that govern our organization can only be amended by the Members at a General Meeting. The deadline for on-time motions to be considered at the AGM is April 17. Motions can also be submitted any time before the meeting and at the meeting, but may require a higher vote count if they are not on time.
